To be a good friend, a wonderful spouse, a leader or an effective person, an entrepreneur or even a social media specialist, you need to be very good at all types of conversations.

Communicate clearly by activating a determination that easily sets the information you convey, be concise and always stay close to the topic being communicated, have that balanced attitude while maintaining that calmness in your being, which obviously allows you to easily organize any concept or attract any other source of information that you filter through your consciousness.

In order to be appreciated as a good communicator or a person willing to communicate openly on any subject regardless of the presence of others, you need to go through the following validations, which certify your ability to be a good communicator.

Listen to understand, it is the first step to being aware of what is being communicated – focus on what the other person is saying, instead of just waiting for your turn to speak.

Provide quality cues and obviously try to subtly enter into the topic of discussion—approve when you recognize parts of the communication, use positive body language, and provide verbal cues to show that you are involved.

Paraphrase with concrete examples, often recent ones, that demonstrate your knowledge of the topic of communication—briefly summarize what you have heard to confirm that you understand and to show that you have been paying attention.

Ask quality questions by seeking to develop what you consider important to continue. You can use open-ended questions—these encourage longer and more detailed answers than yes/no questions. For example, instead of “Do you like the book?”, try “How do you plan to enjoy this quality read?”.

Ask for opinions and information: this shows interest and gives the other person the chance to open up harmoniously in a detailed conversation.

Embrace that curious style of person—enter into conversations with the mindset that you want to learn something from the other person and, of course, to have an honorable exchange of information with a quality that will help and bring that appreciation.

The truth you emit will illuminate your inner being, through which you shine in any communication where you show a sincere interest in making yourself understood. You can achieve openness by being present, relating time and space as a real unit through which you filter the information offered—put your phone away and eliminate distractions to fully focus on the person you are talking to.

Shine openly from the emotional point of your being and show empathy—recognize and have the determination to understand the emotions behind the words expressed by the other person.

Be in direct agreement with the order of thought of those with whom you communicate in order to find those common points that form an opening towards synchronizing the meanings in the present communication—discuss common interests to build a connection and a basis for a deeper conversation.

Be authentic and engaging, be yourself, and recognize your importance as a great listener who seeks to maintain coordination through authentic communication—authenticity is essential, and people can sense whether you are being fake or truly present with sincere intentions.

Share your own thoughts or opinions, which demonstrates your openness to engaging in meaningful communication. Offer brief anecdotes or expand on what the other person has said to make the conversation a mutual exchange.

Maintain a positive attitude with subtle cheerful insertions—a positive and approachable attitude makes others feel more comfortable and involved in the conversation.

Now you are definitely ready to maintain, present yourself, and communicate on any topic you are familiar with, with validation coming from within yourself to the intelligent self of others.
